Do you have to hide snacks in your house just to make them last?

Seems like when I grocery shop they know it and want to open everything! So I've been stashing and bringing stuff out after a week. The price of food has gone up so much in the past year it's ridiculous. And snacks are now a luxury and I want to make them last.

  • Yes sorta. I put things on top of the fridge that I want the kids to get first. I put the other things in the pantry because for some odd reason that remains a complete mystery my kids will not go into the pantry and look for food.

  • Ice cream is a particular problem with DH. However he isn't as bad as my first husband. He was a compulsive eater and I couldnt' keep anything tasty with him around!

  • always, especially If I make a Costco run, you'd think those big sizes would last longer, but not in my house, the kids just eat more. I hide everything in my walk in closest because I can lock the door.
