I fit is 96 degrees outside is it any less work for the air inside to be kept at 81 vs. 78?

  • you mean on the air conditioner itself? Not really. Once you have the temp set it turns on and off on its own and keeps the same temp. I am from the desert in Ca so we always kept it at 78. My husband however is from the mountains so 78 for him is burning up. Our a/c runs at around 70 or less and it has not hurt our a/c unit or our bill at all.

  • Yes, if you keep it at 81 it will run less, thus use less electricity, and cost you less.
