How do you apply for medicaid if you still stay at home with your mom?

  • It's going to depend on how old you are as to whether you qualify. Most states will take your parents income into consideration. Some states do not allow adults on medicaid unless they are medically needy ie: pregnancy. Your children should qualify anyway. Most states also have a form you can fill out online. If you don't qualify for medicaid for the kids each state has an insurance program that is free to around $30 a month, depending on your income.

  • If you are pregnant over 18 and paying rent your parents income shouldn't matter. Make sure they know you pay your parents rent to live there.
