What are Atheists celebrating in all their actions?

They aren't marking a holiday. Do they even have a Holiday? It seems more like advertising than it does to promote a holiday.
Sometimes it seems like they are out to threaten christian civilation and not promote peace. Why does a nativity scene bother them? Why can't they be tolerant of Christians?

  • If they are promoting the winter solstice "holiday", which is between December 20 and December 23 each year. on Dec 24th, their signs and reflections of holiday should be able to come down in public venues, correct?

  • But their words (or values as they say)
There is ATHIEST placord on a public area that reads:
"Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds. "
    Isn't this JUDGEMENTAL?

  • They have a Holiday! It says so in the Bible!! I quote,Psalms14;1 AND Psalms 53:1 BOTH STATE, "The fool hath said in his heart, THERE IS NO GOD." Therefore Atheists DO have a Holiday. They have claimed it for themselves and it comes once a year . It falls on April 1st and is commonly known as April Fool's Day.!! Hope this answers your question!!!

  • I don't have a problem with any religion hanging up a symbol for it's holidays.....until it crosses the line and attacks another religion. If a star of David had been defaced there would have been a HUGE uproar. Heck there are Muslims right now infuriated with Lego because they are offended by a toy. But this man/group has been allowed to post a sign being HATEful and it's ok because it's against Christians. NOT ok. I don't care if the atheists put up something to PROMOTE their religion........as long as it doesn't tear down someone else's!

  • Yes, I am aware of that holiday. However, during this time of year, why do they judge christians with words like
"Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds. "

that are placed next to a nativity scene.

    How does that accomplish peace?

  • Your a little paranoid. Us non Christians, really don't give a flying leap about what your talking about. Christmas is just a holiday to us. Just like Easter is just a holiday. No Jesus or God involved

  • So, why was a sign placed in Washington next to a nativtiy scene that judged Christians that read:
Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds. "

    How does that promote peace?

  • louise2-Your a little paranoid.

No, I am curious for an explanation on how this statment promote's peace:
Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds. "

It was allowed to be placed next to the nativity scene in Washington, because of Freedom of Religion. I would like an Athiest to speak free and explain how that statement encourages peace to all. And how it isn't being judgemental to say "Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds. "
