is it normal to lactate some kind of solid, but it feels like a liquid?

i am lactating, but i thought it would be something like milk, it's not, it's more like a yellow solid than anything, but it still feels wet, is that normal?

  • It sounds like you are leaking colostum. It is completely normal. Colostrum is usually thick, sticky and yellowish in color. With my first child my colostrum was very thick, my nurses said it is normal.

  • Yes. Perfectly normal. It's annoying to wake up with sticky yellow stuff on yourself. But once you have the baby, it will turn into his/her food source:)
