Renovating the house......

We've always had the same carpet throughout the entire house. I'm considering decorating the children's rooms with fun themes and a whole house carpet might not go with it. Does anyone have different carpet in different parts of the home? if yes, how does it look? Should I just choose a neutral color for the entire house or fun colors for their rooms?

  • i'd go with a laminate wood..it's great for spills and messes, as they wipe right up. plus, it will keep the house looking more sell-able for the future, rather than multi-colored carpeting throughout the house. carpet can stain and look dirty so fast!
if you want to throw down a colored/printed rug per room, that would be a bonus, to blend with each room's different decor...and its cheaper, IMO.

  • We opted to get a neutral tone for the whole house and let the kids use decorative rugs in their rooms. That way when they out grow a theme it's an easy fix.
