How much milk?

I've read alot of info on how much a toddler should drink, but my almost 13 month old is still nursing 3 times a day. How much cow's milk should he be drinking? He's drinking around 11-12 oz a day in addition to nursing 3 times. Is that enough?

  • He doesn't NEED any milk. Calcium and Vit D can be found through many other sources.
If he is nursing, your body will recognize any defencies and put more of that vitamin into the milk anyway.
Just make sure he eats a balanced diet and he will be fine.

  • 16 oz/day plus one other dairy source. Too much milk can lead to anemia.

  • sound like a perfect amount to me. If he's still thirsty in between you can offer water.
