Cat and hairball

We have a Devon Rex and swear that this cat cleans herself 10 hours a day.
She looks like a cottonball and coughs 12 or more times a day. I know it has to be hairballs.
I changed her food to the hairball formula and have even tried the hairball remedy from the store.
I comb her everyday and still she coughs. It's horrible.
Any natural remedies?

  • try trimming her hair, that might help a bit if she has very short hair..

  • Ewww, vaseline will be messy. Try feeding tuna water from canned tuna. That is what we reccomend to clients at work. Most cats love it and there is enough fish oil in the water to help things flush through. It's also been my experience that the hairball diets make vomiting worse, so watch out! GL

  • A good brush for short haired cats is a zoom groom, it's a rubber brush and works great.
