If my son is Richard II, is my husband Richard I or Richard Sr.?

My son's name is Richard Earl Livers II ( I thought is sounded a little classier then Jr lol) so does that make my hubby Richard I or Richard Sr or can he use both?

  • I think you can choose but if he wants that to officially be his name then he might have to do that legally

  • If you used II with your DS then your DH is I. However, most paperwork only gives the option for Jr. and Sr. My question would be, would DH need to change his paperwork so all his stuff is labeled as Sr.? Like at work and such.

  • Your husband is King Richard, your son is Prince Richard

  • I've only ever seen Richard Sr., except when it comes to kings.

My DH is Samuel IV. No one has ever called him Jr. lol
