  • I read something that said 15-20 minutes but if you want to give the sperm 2-5 minutes to swim to their proper place it can't hurt and I know that some people swear by it. But then again I also know people who don't know how they got pregnant standing up so while it can't hurt it might not do much but I did try it after we'd been ttc for awhile.

  • You don't have to. People get pregnant in the shower. But after having my IUI's the doctor had me lay on my back for 15 minutes. I know other doctors who tell patients to just get up and go. It's more for your mind than your uterus. :)

  • I say, it can't hurt!! When TTC, I'll try anything that might help ;-) Found this on for you...

Should I stay lying down afterward?
There's no evidence that it makes a difference, but it can't hurt. Remaining horizontal for 15 minutes or so after intercourse allows more semen to remain in your vagina. Of course, with millions of sperm in every ejaculation, there should be plenty of sperm in your vagina even if you get up right away.

Hope it helps and good luck doll!!
