Breastfeeding question

I always wondered after that 3 month experience with my son. If you know that it wasn't an undersupply issue(in fact I had the opposite but no one could ever tell me much about it) what would cause a baby to feed for 5 hours almost straight?

  • Growth spurt? Comfort? Sickness? Are you switching breasts during the feeding? I do not know. Give him a long nursing session and try a paci. My middle son just liked to suck...all of the time. I used a paci until round 10 months and then took it away., He didn't even notice it was gone and then he wasn't stuck to me all day. Hope that helps.
