Is it true that i shouldnt change the litter box while im pregnant?

  • i have never heard this but it makes sense with the cats urine having a strong amonia odor.

  • Yes, it's true. If you have to, you're supposed to wear a mask and gloves.

  • Yes. There's something in the cat feces that isnt good for you. I had no choice but to change it, but I always made sure I had something covering my nose and mouth while I did it.

  • The risk isn't with the odor. The risk is Toxoplasmosis.

  • Yes, it's scary stuff. I knew someone who had someone in her family who had gotten it from digging in the garden while she was pregnant, and her baby was born with all sorts of problems. She didn't even have a cat, but one came through the neighborhood and crapped in her garden. So sad.

  • I'm surprised your doctor didn't tell you that. Mine asked me right away if we had cats and told my hubby that he was gonna have to change the litter box :))
