Summer break, activity suggestions please?

Hello everyone, my son is almost 7 and summer break is coming up real fast and I haven't any plans on what to do.. Besides becoming couch potatoes.. I am 9 weeks pregnant, I feel fine, we have all day to do things and live in N. County San Diego.. Anyone have any inexpensive or free suggestions on things to do? I know we can go for walks, beach, swimming, and go to the park and stuff.. But I'm looking for something creative and different that will surprise him and keep him entertained. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.. I'm sure they all will help.

  • You make your own little flower garden together? You could find a local mom meet up with other kids his age so he could meet and play with other kids while you hang out with other moms.

  • Library is great and our local parks have great summer activities for kids during the summer. Some are even night hikes where they teach you about local animals.

  • Buy a pass to LegoLand. It may not seem inexpensive until you've gone a zillion times. He's at the perfect age for it. Plus, it's really fun.
