No pennies??

This guy is cited after paying a disputed medical bill in all pennies(2500 pennies). I'm sure he was a jerk about it, but I think he should be allowed to pay in all pennies if he wants to. Hope he pays his fine in pennies too!! LOL What do you think?

  • Well, the only 'problem' I see here is the fact he strewn them on the counter. If he had handed them a bag or a box of rolled coins that would be different. But sure he should be allowed to pay in all pennies if he would like. It is legal tender.

  • Legal tender for all debts, public and private.

  • I see how people are trying to be smart butts by doing it but I don't think you should be fined for it.'s money no matter how you pay.....but he could have gone to his bank and gotten it in cash....or did he have the cash to begin with and had his bank give him change to give to them? lol hahahahahaha!!!!!

  • Wow, really? Pennies = money. Just take 'em to the bank!

  • pennies are LEGAL tender. if you owe someone a dollar and they give you 100 pennies they have legally paid you back. you can't turn down legal tender just because you don't like small change
