  • Men tend to be very direct and prefer not to talk things out like women do. Suggest once that if he really wants to speak to his mother, then he should contact her and resolve whatever is between them. Don't harp on it though. It's painful for him and it's his pain. Whether he takes action to communicate with her again (regardless of the root cause) is his choice.

  • Who's choice was it to not talk? Was his choice or her choice?

  • He would not say. But he wanted to discuss it over drinks but I declined. So in a more platonic way what should I say? I do not want to get emotionally involved but I want to offer support. Some words of wisdom.
