  • Do they have to outgrow it? I hate that he will.

  • I had 2 boys and they have never stopped wanting hugs and kisses. They are now 41 and almost 34. Not only do they still hug and kiss me, but they are also very affectionate with their dad. We also have a daughter, and none of our children were ever ashamed to be seen with us or openly showing affection toward us.

  • He started that when he started school...absolutely no kissng and hugging in front of his school mates or teachers. At home he's fine with kisses and hugs as long as no friends are over.

  • My son just turned 18 and I still get hugs, kisses, and a "love you" on a daily basis ... I never went through what you describe, though I thought I would when around friends but he's always been very affectionate, even with others around. I wouldn't stress too much ... it may be just a phase and nobody says you have to stop doing those things!

  • my nephew went threw this, but the only time he was like that was when he's dad was home, i guess he felt the need to be manly in front of his father..lol
