Baby allergies?

my 13 week old son has been sounding really stuffed up the last day or two and ive used the nasal syringe to try and keep his nose clear. i can't quite figure out why all of a sudden its like this. can babies this small have allergies?

  • It's possible it's allergies. Just keep doing what you are doing. You can't give him any medicine. It could also be a cold.

  • Yes, babies can have allergies. One of the ingredients in immunizations is peanut oil, which for some reason there are a lot of children that are allergic to peanuts. It spurs on other allergies. I'm not sure where you live, but you may also have a lot of pollen in your area. He could also just have a cold. So long as he doesn't run a fever, he should be just fine. Just keep syringing, they also have salt water drops you can give him in his nose and a vaporizer if it gets bad enough. If he's having difficulty breathing and unable to catch his breath, then you need to take him right to the emergency room.
