  • when you are no longer bleeding and any wounds are healed though it would not be a bad idea to get an okay form your doctor if you are concerned.

  • My doctor told me to wait until my 6 week checkup, even if I stopped bleeding sooner.

  • With my daughter I think I waited about 4 to 6 weeks before I went swimming and I didnt ask my doctor for permission. Looking back on it now I probably should have asked if it was ok lol

  • I'd think probably somewhere around 6-8 weeks---longer for C section.

  • I believe 6-8 wks depending on your situation is standard, your doctor is the one to ask.

  • thank guys! nwo one more...what about a river? Does it make a difference since its fresh water and not chlorine?
