Fever on 5 month old

ok my lo has been running a fever for three days now...anywhere from low grade tp 103.4 rectally. been to the er, and pedi, they see no ear infection or reason for flu but im worried. tried alternating tyneol and motrin, no success, she keeps rubbing her nose..

can teething cause this? does anyone know what to do?

  • Keep going to doctors until you get a decent response a fever over 101 is not normal. Try urgent care centers. Call your pediatrician back and press for more tests.

  • A viral illness can cause fever for 5 days.... so I would just keep an eye on it unless she has other worrisome symptoms.
Did they check her urine for a UTI?
She is too young for Motrin by the way... I wouldn't give any more.

  • we went to the er and she does have a uti...so no motrin. the doctor said to keep alternating between motrin and tyenol.
