Would you ask your neighbor to move her trash cans?

my neighbors trash cans are near my front door and two front windows, she has 7 dogs and 5 cats.i have a nose like a blood hound, allergies included..anyways she dumps her cat litter in the trash everyday.ugh! it stinks and makes me itchy.my kids eyes are always swollen.so idk if its from her animals.i just got this house in march, and my kids were never like this before.what would you ?

  • yes. i would ask. just explain the problem and see what she says. my neighbors always are open with requests and problems . . in one instance our watering was seeping into the next door neighbors rose bushes and causing them to be unhealthy. the neighbor talked to us about it, and we adjusted . . .no problem.

it could be as easy as a conversation . . . i'd move my trash for you.

  • I'd move them for you too if you asked nicely.

I hope there's a reasonable other place for her to put them.

  • Every time we have a new tenant next door we have a similar issue. Some take it well, others called CPS on us. "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what your going to get" - Forrest Gump was a wise man :-)
