20 weeks and lactating already? adult content

I'm 20 weeks and 4 days along and about two days ago I noticed my nipples were leaking a clear fluid and now they're leaking milk. ( My DF said he noticed something leaking from them about a week ago) Am I suppose to be lactating so early? When did you start lactating?

  • Many women experience leaking colostrum (pre-milk) during pregnancy. It's totally normal.

If it's a lot of milk try the cloth nursing pads. I used organic cotton ones from Babies R Us and they feel SOOOOOOO much better than the paper ones.

  • Fun isn't it? I started lactating before I even found out I was pregnant this time around. My breasts have already grew an entire 3 cup sizes already! Totally different than it was with my 1st 2.

  • Its normal to get colostrum and a little milk around that time. Wouldn't worry about it. I just had my son 3 weeks ago. My daughter is 9 yrs old. My milk never went completely away! Even before getting pregnant with my son I could still express a little colostrum/milk. Around 20 weeks it did increase.

  • it's normal. But I never lactated until after the baby was born.
