  • No it wasn't.

My first two were both "girl heart rates". In fact they go lower after each child. My oldest was in the 180's and she was a girl. My middle was about 165 and she was a girl. My youngest was 130s and Dr even said "oh that's a boys heart rate" but ya know...she's another vag in the house. So no, I can't say it works out that way every time.

  • I dont' think that's a wives tale. i had never heard of it until my doctor told me about it. i don't know about my son's heart beat, but my daughter was about 165, so i guess so

  • Nope, it's not true. My son's heart rate was all over the place, sometimes it was low, other's it was high and so was my daughter's.

  • I had to be hooked up to the fetal heartbeat monitor twice a week for the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy. His heartrate was average about 135-140 but when he moved it would go up as high as 160. I noticed it also depended on the day. Someday's his average was 150. And I had a boy..
