I heard once about soaking pine cones in possibly ebsen salts so that they burn in multi color in the fireplace. Sound familiar to anyone?

  • table salt= yellow flame
    epson salt= white flame
    strontium chloride= red flame
    calcium chloried= blue flame
    borax= yellowish greenish flame
    copper sulfate= green flame.

    you should take a bucket full of HOT water and 1 cup of chemical^^ let pine cones soak for 8 hours. allow to dry completely.... ( the larger the cones the better) what we have done is put the pine cones in an old pillowcase and submerged the pillowcase in the bucket...
