  • yes! singing songs and nursery rhymes to kids helps develop their vocabulary, phonemic awareness skills, rhyming abilities and has so many other benefits too!

  • ..swallowed a fly" Nope. That one was yukky.
    I sang songs from Sesame Street and current easy listening songs. :-) And songs from Disney movies. this was back in the 1960's. when there was really good, soft and sweet music. There was NO RAP.LOL.

  • yup. one of the best ways to build vocabulary and lay the groundwork for reading skills is to teach nursery rhymes and songs.
