Anyone know anything about?

turtle eggs? I have a snapper in my pond behind our house and she laid her eggs in my flower bed and I was wondering what to do about them. I was going to plant flowers but not so sure if I should now.

  • Turtles don't return to the nest, they just lay the eggs and leave. The babies will find their way to the pond once they hatch.

  • I would just leave them alone. Or move them to a similar spot elsewhere. Or, better yet, maybe call your state's wildlife office and ask them...

I don't believe turtles need to "find" their eggs after they lay them. Don't they just lay them and then leave?

  • I don't know anything about them but I would imagine if you move them she can't find them. Wonder how long they take to hatch?
