Symptoms are very similar to menopause. Heavier periods, lighter periods, fatigue, night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia, lack of concentration, weight gain, mood swings, depression, muscle and/or joint pain...etc. I had this. It isn't fun. Somehow during the surgery some of the blood vessels get cut off and the ovaries stop working. You lack estrogen/progesterone. Your body starts to feel like menopause. You can try hormone replacement therapy. I had a hysterectomy 5 years after my tubal ligation. I was bleeding two weeks straight and then one week off then start again. I was getting anemic so they took out my uterus. I cannot take hormone replacement due to breast cancer. Hope this helps.
