  • My MIL was 45 (my FIL was 49) with my husband. As a result he was taking care of elderly parents in his teens - not a great place to be.

  • NOT including me, my gramma had my mom when she was 40 ( back in 1912 before they even had IVF.)
My daughter had her 4th baby last summer when she was 41. NO IVF.
MyMIL had her 2nd baby at age 40---no IVF.
It is really not unusual to have kids after the age of 40 naturally .

  • scout mom----do you consider 70 years old to be ELDERLY? LOL. I will be 70 in October and I feel like I am about 35.Your husband's parents would have been about 70 when he was in his teens, right?
I don't think 70 is elderly at all.
