So, ten minutes ago, my four year old said, "Mommy, I'm tired," and when I looked at her a minute later, she was asleep. It's 6:30 here, when should I wake her?

Update: she woke up after twenty minutes when the cat jumped on her legs. Thanks for the opinions, everyone.

  • I wouldn't wake her. My son can fall asleep now and wake up around 8 to eat and then go back to bed. do you think she will stay asleep long?

  • I would let her nap until dinner is ready. If you've had dinner let her sleep.

  • As long as she has had dinner I would just move her to her bed and have a nice quiet evening! Grab a glass of wine and fold some laundry! That's what I'm doing tonight! lol

  • Its 630 here too, what time does she usually go to bed or take naps? Seems realllly close to bed time and either you will be up late with her trying to get her to bed or up really early tomorrow because she wakes up at 4am if your lucky. I'd wake her in 5 minutes to give her a little cat nap.

  • I wouldn't wake her. I try to get my kids to bed by 7 on school nights and no later than 8 on any other night. My son has fallen asleep as early as 5:30 and slept through until morning.

  • Leave her till morning. Worst case she wakens in the middle of the night and you can lie on the couch sleeping while she watches cartoons

  • My daughter goes to sleep between 7 and 8, usually at 7:30. I would let her sleep, unless she is missing dinner
