Is it normal to still not have gotten a period 6 months after giving birth? adult content

Its been about 6 months since i've I gave birth to my son and I still have not had a period, I know i'm not pregnant again and i'm not breast feeding so does anyone know if this is normal?

  • Doesn't really sound normal to me. But I have only had 1 child and have always had a regular period. I would for sure be asking my doctor what is going on, just to be safe.

  • i would go see a doctor, not saying anything is wrong because everyone's body heals differently after child birth.
    if you are using birth control that can mess with your monthly cyles too.

  • I know a woman who wasn't breastfeeding and she didn't get her period for 8 months. You can always make an appointment just in case.

  • Typically, if you don't breastfeed, you get your period about 6 weeks after giving birth. Since it's been 6 months, it's definitely something to see your doctor about.

  • My baby is 6mo too, and I don't have a period yet either. I am bfing though so that's different.

    I think you should call your dr just to be safe
