Swimming Times

What is the best time of day to take the kids? No worries, about nap time they are
Ages 11 & 12. In Texas. It's so hot and I want them to go. I do not want burnt kids and mom being miserable while sitting there.

  • I suppose, if we are talking public pools, we would need to know when they are open.

We have a pool in our yard so the kids are free to swim from about 8am - 10pm... if Im a wake that late.

  • I take my kids swimming throughout the day. Of course, I'm fortunate and our pool is shaded most of the day.

  • I enjoy it more when we go after supper.

  • If they're 11 & 12, why not slap some sunscreen on them and drop them off? Our pool allows kids as young as 7 to come parent-less as long as they have taken lessons & can swim. Then you're not miserable, they get some play time, you get some you time, and everyone's happy.
