Baby poop

My son is 2 months old almost 3 and his poop has been like runny water. He is breastfed every 2 to 3 hours. Is this normal for his age?

  • Yes, breastfed baby poop is usually runny and yellow. It won't start to look like "real" poop until he starts eating solids. That's because breastmilk is so easily digestable. :)

  • My son's poop changed all the time. Went from yellow, to runny, back to yellow. It was so weird. When he started eating baby foods it started getting regular. Unless your baby seems like she is hurthing in her belly or more fussier than usual it isn't nothing to worry about.
