Cake pops

Has anyone made them? How difficult are they to do? I am thinking about making some for my wedding reception, can they keep in the freezer for a few days? I'm having my party on a Saturday, could I make them Thursday and will the be ok?

  • Ummm. I'm not sure about how well they will stay in the freezer. The fridge is fine IMO. My two tips, don't toss in the entire can of frosting, slowly add it in. Not sure what recipe you are going off of, but make the balls small. They are very sweet. Like gum ball size, or ping pong ball size. We always use chocolate instead of the candy coating they suggest.

  • I had them recently. My friend made them ahead and froze them. She said they were easy to do, and they were a real hit with everyone.
