How can you tell the difference between quickening and gas?

I know right now that I am feeling gas since I am only nine weeks, but with all this new found gas, how can I tell the difference when the time comes? I don't want to miss the feelings of the quickening sensation.

  • 9 weeks?  You have a LONG way to go yet.

Braxton Hicks contractions are not true labor, but what are they and how do you tell the difference?
