Just wanted to know if its possible to stil miscarry at 31-33 weeks? Just curious?

  • No I believe it would be a still birth.

  • It's possible for the baby to die, unfortunately. But it's not called a miscarriage.

  • PP is right. The terminology changes. I don't remember when. Somewhere in the 18-26 week range, I think. It is very rare but does happen, it happened to a local radio personality's wife around 34-36 weeks.

  • Sometimes a baby will die at that stage because the cord wraps too tightly around the neck. The cord could get twisted into a knot and stop the flow of oxygen to the baby. The placent could detatch a little bit from the uterus, though usually there will be some bleeding from that.
