  • Johnson's Vapor Bath is the best. Poor some in the tub and the mucus will come flowing out. Afterward you can use the booger sucker. And the vicks baby rub is great too. Also if you don't already use one I suggest a pillow for naps and bedtime to keep his head elevated and help him breathe better.
My daughter had a cold at 6 months old and that's when we discovered the pillow trick, she hasn't slept without one since. Also, if you are uncomfortable with the pillow you can put a pillow UNDER the mattress. Does pretty much the same thing but may not worry you as much.

  • i put a vicks humidifier in the girls' rooms when they get super stuffy or take a hott steamy shower and let him sit in there in his bouncer or chair and breath the steam. Two in one tasks that way. they also have vicks rub for babies 3 mo. and up

  • If your pedi says it's ok you can alternate ibuprofin and tylenol to help keep any fever down/alleviate aches.
Keep him hydrated, use a vaporizer in the nursery, use saline drops and a bulb syringe to help with the congestion, and if you want, use a little vicks vapor rub (the baby formula). I'd put it on his feet to start because even the odor of the baby formula can be strong.
You can also bring him into a steamy bathroom and gently pat his back to help loosen up congestion. Hang in there.
