Wedding RSVP cards, please help!!

How soon before the wedding should I say people need to RSVP by? The wedding is Oct 22nd this year. Im making out the invites now. I have no clue.

  • Usually depends on your caterer, and when they need the headcount. Give yourself a week before that deadline so you have time to call anyone who didn't send their rsvp. So, if they caterer needs the final headcount 1 week before the wedding, make the date 2 weeks prior (the 8th).

  • I dont really know the dead line for the caterer yet so Ill just be safe and do Oct 1st? Or is that too early? :/

  • at least 3 weeks before your wedding date, 6 weeks is a good time many venues want final head count between 3-6 weeks.

  • I'd say 4-6 weeks. You may have to hunt people down for an answer, and you don't want to be doing that in the last week.

  • Call the caterer, and ask. You usually would need notice one week before the wedding, and send out the invite 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding.
