How do you turn in a Dr. for releasing your personal med. information? I know there are federal laws that protect you however, this doctor does not care...

  • did you sign a release when you first visited the doctor? most doctors offices have a form to sign, among other forms of information that you fill out on your first visit. if you signed and gave no authority, then you may reason to notify the SMB.

  • It depends on where they released them too. Most of the time you sign a form that allows them to release your stuff to other doctors, now if he released something to someone not related to your case, then that is a different answer, Could you provide more detail about what happened? My brother is a doctor, so I am familiar with what they Can and Cannot do.
