  • Good question. False, False, False. Hurtful words and comments can cause severe psychological damage and wounds that may take a lot of time and work to heal from. It is very common for battered women to say that the emotional abuse was far worse to suffer from than any of the physical abuse. In fact it is not uncommon for them to say I wish he would have just hit me that would be easier to prove and to heal from than the verbal abuse.
