  • life sucks. god doesn't say it won't. he says he'll carry you when you can no longer walk the path on your own, if you have faith. god can get you through anything, if you have faith. i've seen a few posts from you on here tonight, and i just want to say that becuase you are doubtign doesn't mean you are a bad person. mother theresa had doubts the entire time she was in calcutta and yet, she still did amazing things.

  • I believe that bad things happen to everyone. Good people and bad. Sometimes good things keep happening to bad people too, and that's what I don't understand! All people must be tried and tested to see if we can stay the course. I have had my share of it.

  • It's NOT a matter of true faith. . You need to live your life according to God's will, and NOT your way, or will. You have to ask yourself about every aspect of your life and the choices of your life, if God would be pleased with how you live. Going to church weekly dosnt make you faithful. Tithing your 10% dosnt either.  Nor does "doing the best you can" so to speak. You need to submit to God's will.  Of course this is all just MY opinion, But I know people that have turned their lives around when presented with what I just said here, and ALL the bad things stopped happening to them.

  • GOD NEVER SAID ANYWHERE IN THE BIBLE THAT BAD THINGS WON'T HAPPEN JUST BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE,BUT HE PROMISES TO BE WITH YOU AND GIVE YOU STRENGHTH TO GET THROUGH IT WE HAVE FREE WILL TO MAKE OUR OWN CHOICES AND UNFORTUNATELY SO DO NON CHRISTIANS AND SOMETIMES WE ARE AFFECTED BY THEIR BAD CHOICES IT'S LIFE BAD THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN AND THROUGH FAITH WE WILL BECOME STRONGER AND FIND PEACE IN KNOWING WE ARE NOT ALONE!

  • Check out Ephesians 6:11-17 about putting on the Full Armor of God and about how we fight against spiritual beings. There is also a scripture about putting up a Hedge of protection but I forgot where that one is. It doesn't mean bad things won't come at us but it does mean we can deal with them on a spiritual level and the personal outcome can be different than if a non-believer went through them.

  • Jesus said(Matthew 5:45) that God "causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous". And Paul(along with MANY other Christians) endured unbelievable hardships in their lives. So we know that being a Christian doesn't mean a burden-free life.
But I should add also, there is a lot more to being a follower of Christ than just having faith. It's grace that saves us, but "faith without works is dead" (james 2:17)

  • it means that ur having a bad streak. i honestly believe that people have good times in their life, and they have bad times,it all depends on how u deal with ur problems. to me they are kinda like a test (think Job). besides, just cause u believe a certain thing doesnt mean that ur life will always be perfect, or that it will always suck. just keep telling urself that things will eventually get better. u just got to keep working on making things go better (doesnt always work though)and sooner or later it will. it might take years, but as long as u dont give up then it will happen.

  • It means God is not the cause of it. Some people have bad luck, make bad choices or keep themselve in bad circumstance. You can't blame God for the bad anymore than you can say he's responsible for all good.

  • Sometimes in life we all hit rough times. I found that never giving up hope, faith, and love in God is the answer!! Strong prayer that God will provide strength through your tough times will always help. Just knowing He is by your side through your emotional times will make you feel at peace. In life we all have to make choices just make sure you are making the right good ones in your life. Trust in God not only when you are blessed in life, but also when you are down and need Him the most. Remember if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Through God all things are possible.
