  • We also skipped the stage three food i just viewed it as a rip off, but we would feed her everything we ate but in very small bites and no salt or pepper, oh and corn chips and potatoe chips are very dangerous! we kept those away untill she was bout 2 and kept buying the stage 2 and 3 snack options because i was so worried about choking --best of luck!

  • We never did jarred food really. All of mine were on table food around 8 months. Fresh fruit is the best snack option - no need to buy special snacks!

  • I used the stage 3 and toddler meals as convenience foods (on days when I just didn't feel like making lunch/dinner). We mostly stopped the stage 3's after he turned 1, but they came in handy for months when he was sick and his throat hurt or he was teething so bad that he couldn't handle any real texture. The toddler meals were mostly used when we were out, but I soon started just trying to find "real" food for him.

  • My son ate stage 3 foods. My daughter will not accept anything chunky from a spoon. She started eating chunky foods around 7 months, but only if she could pick them up herself. I 2nd the comment about chips. My son had issues with them before he turned 2...even small pieces,

  • We never really did baby food either. I think starting them on finger table foods as early as you can is great. My 13 month old just what we are having for dinner and I make him snacks like fruit and cheese and crackers.

  • Yes but only for a few weeks and then it was cheaper to give table food.
