What age would you allow your daughter to have a boyfriend?

I am talking where you actually know the boy... Not when they are sneaking around, like alot of teenagers do. :)

  • I don't have girls but if i did i would say 15 or 16, I know kids that are younger have boyfriends where they only see each other at school but its nothing serious but to have an actual boyfriend i would say around what i said.

  • I did have a Bf at that age... but I would let him/ her

  • Whenever she chooses. To tell her she can't will simply push her to sneak around. I prefer an open relationship from day one rather than forcing them to hide it. Once they (my children) start HS they are free to go on dates, prior to that they may only go on group dates or have them to the house/go to their house.

  • I just told my 9 yr old this yesterday no Boyfriend until you are at least 16 and I would really prefer she didn't have 1 at all until she was out of school & got her career going like that will probably happen.

  • Son or daughter....not until the 7th grade for the in school/talk on the phone bf/gf, 9th grade for group dates and 11th grade for one on one dating. I have sons only and those were their rules and the rules of their peers so they never had issues with them.

  • 13-14 would be visiting each other's houses with parents there, high traffic areas only. 15 Chaperoned outings like the mall or the movies with at least one parent sitting a few rows behind. 16+ unsupervised outings but still high traffic areas when at each other's houses.
