Taking my kids camping for the first time since they where babies! Its just us, no male, lol What are some neccesities i should bring besides food and a tent

  • toys that wont matter to much if lost, sunblock, extra clothes, if no running water is close bring some wipies for quick clean ups, napkins, a big bowl or bucket for dishes to be washed in, dish soap, a washrag, airmats, and believe it or not, a bale of straw....it helps to insulate the bottom of the tent and cusions a bit.

  • sun screen, baby wipes, first aid kit, weather appropriate clothing and warm clothes (just in case), stuff to cook with and clean up with, stuff to sleep on and with (whatever they are used to at home, let them take with them), and relaxing chairs

    We actually don't take many toys with us--we are outside, there is more than enough to do--something like frisbee or ball, a bug net and magnifying glass, a bucket and shovel is pretty much the extent of what we take...and a bedtime book.
