Adventures w/two year old

I am a biological mom to one child. My son is now 13 yrs old and is in middle school. He is doing fine.

About four weeks ago, we accepted a two year old foster child into our home. She is very verbal, her sentences are usually 3-4 words long. She is potty-trained and generally sleeps through the night.

My current issue w/her behavior is when she fights her sleep (naps and night time) and the whining/crying/flop-on-the-floor action. I don't recall all this with my son, so I've never had to deal with this.

Any suggestions?

  • Ignore her. She is doing this for attention. When she tires from the tantrum then put her down to sleep.
