Why do newborn babies laugh in their sleep? Are they really seeing angels?

My son used to laugh when he was asleep. When he was awake he had this stone face.

  • That's a nice thought. :) I honestly have no idea. Experts say that it's a reflex. My DD2 is 2 weeks old today and smiles and laughs while she's awake as well as asleep. Neither one of my other two did that...

  • How sweet would that be if that was the case. I always hoped it was me they were smiling/laughing at!

  • My son is 5 and still laughs in his sleep. He's the only one of my kids that talks in his sleep too. So cute :)
