  • My kids always pick out 2 books for me to read on our bed at night. We let them pick it out. When my hubby was deployed he went to the USO and recorded him reading books to our son. He could watch the movie, follow along in the book. And see and hear his dad read to him. It is amazing what they can do for our kids to help them through deployments these days. His favorite is "Where the wild things Are". I read him the book and he has the video of his daddy reading it also. The best of both worlds.

  • When my son was small, our favorite book was Goodnight Moon. We read it every night before bed, and I learned it so quickly, I could recite it verbatim. So whenever he got fussy, I would recite Goodnight Moon for him.

  • We go through phases!

"Goodnight Dewberry Bear" is a favorite, as is the VeggieTales book "God Made You Special"

We loved "Goodnight Moon" and "Each Peach Pear Plum"

Right now we are on a big "Go Dog Go!" kick.

(And I know there is a lot of love for "I Love You Forever", and my kids wanted me to read and sing it to them, but I find that book that mom SO FREAKING CREEPY!!!!)
