A bit TMI Question. adult content

So my husband and I had sex the other night and since then i have showered three times since....but still have a foul odor down there. What is going on? I don't hurt or anything, just smells. I have washed very well too. Any ideas?

  • Generally, and I am NOT saying this is you at all so please don't take offense to it, but USUALLY that only happens if you have a yeast infection, an STD or he has an STD.

  • I am not offended at all Anon but we both have been tested for STD and are clear. I thought with a yeast infection though there was some kind of burning sensation or atleast some for of pain? just what i thought, but i could totally be wrong.

  • That's probably y then. Its happened to me before as well :-/ I think u would know if it was an infection. You would itch, burn, or hurt!!

  • the last time that happen to me i had a UTI, i had not other systoms expect a foul smell, have u tryed using a douch??

  • Could be bacterial vaginosis, which is not always painful, or it could be that your husband eats a diet high in red meat and processed meat, which will affect the way the semen breaks down.

  • An odor can be one of the first symptoms of a flora imbalance in your vagina, either BV or a yeast infection. Excessive washing is just going to aggrevate a flora imbalance. I would try a garlic or probiotic treatment since both of those are helpful for both BV and yeast infections and harmless if you don't actually have one.
