  • call your local assistance office or go online to the website. it takes sometime but its worth the time for the health of yourself and your unborn child.

  • it shouldnt take long at all,go to your health department, they will then do a preg test on you once you are positive they will give you a letter stating you are, then you will go to your medicaid office and they will begin filing it. you are givin a letter from them until your card comes in{takes like two weeks} at which time a doc appointment will have been set up{depending on your state's county} you may have to go through a program called Gift of Life which just checks to see if you are living in safe conditions are in positive relations with the ones around you, or if you decide that you are not wanting to keep the baby they direct you to other agencies. the GOL will help you find a doc in your area, and set up that first appointment for you and just check in on you through out your pregnancy. well i hope this helps good luck and congrates :)

  • It took me less than 2 weeks to get on medicade. It just depends on how busy the area you live in is and if there is a waiting list. GL

  • sometimes can vary but think the max time is 45 days.. if you turn in everything all at once then it shouldnt take more than 30 days.. in some cases you can get approved and recieve a temporary card, but you have to have all required documents turned in at the interview for it not to take more than 30 days..

  • Once they receive your application they are supposed to approve or deny you within 30 days. It might go faster since you are pregnant. I would highly recommend you have ALL the paperwork the form requires including a proof of pregnancy from a doctor. You can go to an urgent care or planned parenhood for a cheap test if you can't afford it at your doctors. Also bring everything in to your Dept of HS personally, mailing takes longer and they may say they didn't get it. You also have to show them your license and birth certificate in person, they don't accept photocopies with the application. Once it's in their hands it can take up to 30 days.
