  • My twins are 11.5 mo and I've just started the transition to whole milk from formula. I give them formula first thing in the morning and last feeding before bed. In between they have 2 sippy cups of whole milk, and 1 sippy cup of very watered down fruit juice. I do let them have a sippy cup of water in between feeding, mostly to get them to practice more with the cup. I think 9 months is early, unless there are specific health issues. I'd consult my pediatrician. Hope that helps.

  • Formula is your son's main nutrition! The dentist is giving poor advice. One year is the minimum.

  • You mean breastmilk? He weaned at 26 months. At a minimum, your baby needs breastmilk or formula for 12 months before going to other milks.

  • If you are feeding your son a variety of foods that fill the food groups, then anytime is fine. If your baby drinks from a bottle without having to chew and swallow, children become lazy and picky eaters. It's much easier to swallow than it is to chew.
