Is there any other free virus protection I can download other than AVG??

I'm pretty sure that I have a virus on my computer. I have AVG free on it now. Is there anything better out there that's free that I can use for virus protection and be able to remove viruses?

  • You can download spybot and malware, they are free and you set them up to run whenever. between the 2, they catch the most. AVG updates my 2011 free version every morning when I sign on.
Google Spybot and download the newest version and go from there!

  • CHarlan stole my ideas LOL.

Norton is a virus/worm on it's own. It will worm it's way into your computer and will make it impossible to completely remove it. Thus, ruining your hard drive.

Trend Micro has a free housecall feature that I really like. For pay-for-it antivirus I like Trend Micro the best.

For free-for-it antivirus I have avast and it seems to be doing just fine.

  • Just be careful what sites you go on and what you download and put on your computer.
Always make sure to do custom installs on everything!
