Wine Tasting Party

Ok ladies,.......I am planning a wine tasting party. I have an idea on what food to serve, and I am giving each guest their own wine glass to use and take home.  My question is, I'm not sure what time of day/ night.  Any suggestions??   Thanks

  • I think wine tasting would be evening. I assume you are just planning finger foods? If not serving a full dinner, make it no earlier than 7pm. IMO, and make sure they are aware that dinner will not be served.

  • We are going to one of these on Saturday at a friends home her husband was a sommelier and owns three nice restaurants in town.  They are having theirs at 6pm but they are serving a 5 course meal and then doing the wine tasting afterwards.  I think if you are serving finger foods 7:30 would be a good time so people have a chance to get something more substantial in their stomach.  I would make sure everyone knows you are not serving a meal.  Have fun.

  • I would keep the option open for a 3 or 4 PM. Winetasting in the afternoon can be just lovely. :)
